The temptation to order hot chips with my fish was overwhelming. The two go so well together, though I was endeavouring to stay healthy this lunch. I had had a week of over indulging dinners and it was time to bring a little bit of healthiness to the diet.

So with strong will power I went for Grilled Fish and salad. Though, just a note for you if you visit - this combination isn’t on the menu board. Everything comes with chips! De Costi definitely do a nice fish, and all orders are cooked to order. No hot food is sitting there waiting like a lot of seafood take away places do.

I used to work at MLC Centre about 9 years ago and haven’t really been back in all that time. So it was a trip down memory lane today. There had been some changes, though lots remained the same; the newsagent in the back corner, the cafe serving Illy coffee which I frequented often. 

Today I went to Bread and Butter sandwich bar. My memory couldn’t recall if this place was here all that time ago - they certainly didn’t seem to remember me either though!. I ordered a wholemeal, ham, cheese, tomato, english mustard sandwich. I could tell I was in the big end of town - today’s sandwich cost $7.80, whilst yesterday up at Park Street I paid $6.70.
