Everyone is made to feel welcome at Kawa Cafe. From our prime outside table we had a good position to watch the comings and goings. Goths at one table, a gay couple at another, tourists with maps out and some 40 somethings at another table. Kawa serves up an all day breakfast menu as well as an extensive lunch menu. An emphasis is placed on organic food.
The Ploughmans lunch is a great option for a summers day. It includes cheese (feta and Swiss), ham, a side of hot english mustard, relish, chicken rissole and toasted turkish bread. It’s not your typical Ploughmans but we weren’t complaining for the variation. For those on a budget (or with a small appetite) Kawa also serves half serve sandwiches for around $6 and full serve for $10. The half serve is a perfect option if taking the kids along.
On a previous visit we had the organic chicken pie with salad, and to be honest was the reason we came back to have it again. Though after seeing the other options on the menu, the pie will have to wait for another return visit.
Our friendly waitress kept us topped up with water, and had a cheery manner.

I love Kawa Cafe! great people watching, delicious food and the coffee is the best. I bring all my overseas and interstate guests here, they all think it rocks. such a great bohemian vibe and my personal favourite the chicken ball sandwich is a great lunch option. vegans are well taken care of here and if you visit have the raspberry frappe its to die for!
